Raising funds for sports is one of the most popular reasons why many schools launch fundraising.  For instance, softball is a favorite sports among students and usually, softball teams need financial help especially when joining a tournament.  Expenses necessary for the uniforms of the team, equipment and the practice allowance can be a big burden on the players.  Luckily, there are a lot of softball fund raising idea that can be used to raise the much needed funds of the team.

If you search the internet, you can find companies that provide different products to be sold for fundraising projects.  These companies sell these items at a much cheaper price than what is in the market so that the fundraisers will be able to use the proceeds for their cause.  Products can range from candies, cookies, to books, novelty items, handicrafts and others.  You can choose what items you want to include in your fundraising drive.

However, fundraisers are warned to do extensive research when choosing a company that offers fundraising goods.  Not all companies online offer these products at a good cause.  Make sure the company you will purchase from is legitimate and reputable.  Inquire about which fundraising organizations they have provided services to.  Ask around and interview their past and current clients whether the company has indeed helped them in their own fundraising campaigns.

Finding sponsors for your team is also a wonderful softball fundraising idea.  It would be best to approach softball enthusiasts and request if they would be willing to contribute for your team.  If they agree, you may offer to print their name in the team’s uniform or caps as a sign of your gratitude.  Business establishments are also great candidates for sponsorship.  Talk to the owners or managers of a store or a merchant in your locality.  In exchange for their contribution, they can have their logo or their brand name printed on the team’s uniform or on the team’s banner.  This will serve as an advertisement for their business at the same time.
