Easy Fundraising Ideas

Mission Fundraising

Schools, government associations and non-profit organizations usually set up a mission fundraising to be able to execute their project on behalf of their members.  Launching a fundraising project is not as easy as it may seem.  It requires ample planning and preparation to make sure that everything would go smoothly when the fund raising event arrives.

When it comes to school fundraising projects, the most popular way of raising money is by selling edible goods such as candy bars, lollipops, and chocolates.  These goodies costs cheap and everyone can surely afford it.  Most of all, everyone loves to eat sweets regardless of their age so these products are easy to sell.

Sometimes, parents of the students who know how to cook or bake voluntarily give their time and effort in preparing the food themselves.  Pastries, cakes, cookies, granola bars and pizza are favorites when it comes to fundraising foods.  Usually, fundraisers prefer to use all-natural ingredients in cooking to make sure that the food would be healthy enough for everyone to eat, especially those with diabetes and other illnesses.

For non-school organizations, selling raffle tickets are most often used to raise the much-needed funds.  Fundraisers would set-up their fundraising budget in purchasing prizes for the raffle.  People love to join raffle programs especially if the prizes at stake are really worth it.  The fact that the proceeds of the raffle would be used in support of a good cause adds up to its appeal.  When selling raffle tickets for fundraising, the goal is to sell as many tickets as possible to collect enough to pay back the money spent on the prizes and still gain profit, which will be used for the project.

Both schools and non-school organizations may also hold a special fundraising program to raise funds.  For instance, a talent show or a talent competition can be held.  It can also be a play or a special presentation.  The show will be promoted as a fundraising project thus; people would know that the proceeds of their admission tickets will be used for a worthy cause.

Regardless of what type of fundraising it would be, the success of the project also depends on the people designated to manage the money collected.  It is crucial to choose people who are honest and genuinely concerned in the mission fundraising.  To avoid possible conflicts, members of the fundraising committee who are designated on the accounts sign an agreement, which makes them responsible for the safety of the funds they handle.
