High School Fundraising Plans
High school fundraising is often done in order to execute projects that will benefit the students. Teachers, parents and students often go out of their way to share their time, knowledge and skills for the success of the fundraising.
Much of the task is involved in the preparation of the event. First, the lead organizers would set-up meetings for the planning stage of the fundraising project. In this phase, organizers would need to decide what specific fundraising strategy would be done and how to execute it. The usual fundraising ideas used in a high school fund raising event are holding competitions, raffle draws, garage sales, and selling food and beverages.
Sometimes, a car wash week is arranged where volunteers for the fundraising group will provide car washing services free. Of course, all proceeds will be used for the purpose of the fundraising campaign. A car wash fundraising is not just a time to raise money, it is also a perfect chance for teachers, parents and students to enjoy the camaraderie and cooperation of everyone in the group. In fact, it can be a fun and exciting event both for the volunteers and the students.
Many people are willing to give their sponsorship for the benefit of a fundraising project. Financial support is necessary so the ideas can be well executed. Weeks or months before the planned fundraising, the organizers should prepare a letter of proposal in order to tap in the needed funding. These proposals will then be distributed to prospective sponsors. It can be parents of the students, merchants in the locality, and residents of the community.
The purpose of the fundraising project should be clearly explained so that those who are capable of financial help would realize the importance of their support. Very often, recipients of the fundraising proposal would respond positively as long as the goal of the project has been well presented. Since it is for the benefit of students, many people are willing to extend their support for the success of the fund raising.
Of course, a high school fund raising wouldn’t be complete if fundraising committees will not do their share. These committees take care of the actual preparation and all the tasks involved in the project. Although they may not be capable of sharing money, they generously share their time and effort to make sure that the fundraising campaign will be efficiently accomplished.
