High School Fundraising

Do you remember the days when your high school teacher asks you to group yourselves and sell a certain kind of stuff? Your teacher then tells you that you need to raise funds for your school educational trip, sports team uniforms, books and more. Fund raising in high school is often done because high school students are believed to have the ability to produce something new and beneficial. They also need to have fund raising event to support their specific sports teams, cheerleaders, school clubs and papers.

In certain schools, there are subjects or classes that provide the information on how-to-do lessons and enhances the skills of the students. These classes are sometimes taken for granted but because of fund raising, many good turnouts from these crafts, home economics and other skill development classes are made. Here are some fund raising activities that high school students can enjoy while learning from them.

First, high school students have their home economics subject at school where they learn how to bake cookies, cakes and pastries. High school student can actually sell their outputs from this cooking and baking class. Food is fast to sell and it will surely generate income for fund raising when they are sold in office facilities and some business establishments. Banana cakes, cookie dough’s, and chocolate candies are the top-selling fundraisers. High school students could feel that what they made in the class is beneficial for fund raising. They will finally enjoy making more because they are seeing a good result.

Second, high school students also learn how to cerate different kinds of crafts in the said class as well as in their art class. They can sell crafts made form paper mache to people anywhere. Some of these are small figures of animals, flowers, vases, baskets and even funny representations of other things that they almost look fro real. These crafts are easy to sell since they do not require a large amount of donation. Fund raising idea like this would help high school students develop their creativeness and sustain environmental awareness. They do not have to use expensive materials on their projects. Old newspapers and paint are just the things they needed. Fund raising income must be higher than the expenses used in making the products.

Finally, selling battery-operated lamps and mini-fans made by the high school students is another good high school fund raising idea. High school students probably learned about electricity circuits and cell energy. So they can make simple machines like these and raise funds from them. These simple machines can be adorned by fancy papers with colorful designs and accessories. You can actually make a lantern using a semi-cloth colored paper and a bamboo stick and use the battery-operated lamp inside. You now have a simple but elegant looking lantern in your house!

It is true that for high school they change interest. However, they are being matured every year and they will finally get the consciousness of producing something for fun and profit-making as well.

High School fund raising will now be an avenue for these students to venture on the different skills they have to make every effort worth it. Who knows? They might be the future owners of a big production company and may somehow become one of those fund raising supporters!
